Fürstenberg is part of the Nordic Walking Paradise „Waldecker Land“ and offers a Nordic Walking Park with signposted routes. We are operating the Nordic Walking School Fürstenberg, offering classes and rental poles to our guests.
In the vast forests around Fürstenberg, you will find a variety of attractive hiking trails. Off the beaten track and with no transit traffic, we are offering you tranquility and recreation.
Through it’s central location, Fürstenberg builds the starting point for many excursions to the Waldecker Land and the Hochsauerland. Within just a few minute’s drive, you can reach the Edersee, the old Hanseatic cities of Korbach and Frankenberg, the winter sports center in Willingen, as well as the residence town of Bad Arolsen.
Fürstenberg itself also has quite a lot to offer. A rustic tavern, a hotel with restaurant and cafe, grocery store, Kneipp facility, miniature golf, the natural history diorama and the public library, as well as the nature trail and the historical heart of the town are welcoming our guests.
